Thomas Shaw

Senior Financial Adviser

Thomas has spent his entire career working in financial services, initially working within the major high street banks – Lloyds, Barclays and HSBC in roles including business financial consultant, commercial financial planner and international commercial manager.

Wanting to break away from the large corporate world he joined Hall & Gertski in Autumn 2018 as a Financial Consultant, after spending five years away from financial advice, working within the international commercial finance sector.

Sharing the company’s ethos of delivering personal and bespoke service, Thomas works with clients to develop long-term relationships which include ensuring all aspects of their finances and financial planning keeps up with their changing personal circumstances.

Thomas’ commercial finance background has given him the ability to work across the personal and commercial sectors with particular strengths in advising on tax planning, pensions and *shareholder agreements.

Away from the office, Thomas is the Chairman of St. Lawrence & Highland Court Cricket Club in Canterbury. He plays a range of sports and gets away to the mountains to go snowboarding whenever he can.

The value of a pension with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up.  You may get back less than you invested.

*Please note that advice in this area will necessitate the referral to a service that is separate and distinct to those offered by St. James's Place
