At St. James’s Place, we work with a range of independent investment consultancy firms which are able to assist us by exploring potential investment opportunities for our clients. The consultant’s independence ensures that they will operate with complete objectivity when assessing your investments.

As well as supporting your investment directly, our consultants are also pivotal in assisting us with picking and reviewing fund managers. They are also essential to assisting the Investment Management team with our ongoing strategy and the growth of our fund range.

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

Redington

Founded in 2006, Redington is an independent investment consultancy firm. Its clients include pension funds, wealth managers, insurance companies and charities.
Redington has grown to a team of 196 individuals, including 111 investment professionals, and has a combined total of over 400 years’ investment consulting, actuarial, capital markets and asset management experience.
The team has assets under consulting of over £500 billion and was appointed by our Investment Committee in 2014, initially to help in the development of our fixed income and alternative assets fund range. Redington now supports us across a wide of asset classes, covering equities, fixed income, alternatives and illiquid assets.

Rocaton

Founded in 2002 by a team of experienced investment professionals, and now operating in 11 global offices, Rocaton’s mission is to provide the highest-quality service and investment advice to a select group of investment companies.
It has broad experience of consulting over 80 investment firms and gives us access to a fund manager research platform with impressive scale.
In 2019, Rocaton was acquired by Goldman Sachs, allowing its clients to benefit from the global resources of one of the world’s leading investment advisors.
Rocaton supports us in the strategic development of our fund offering: a good example of this was Rocaton’s collaboration with us in evolving our Global Value fund in July 2020.

bfinance

Established in 1999, bfinance has worked for more than 380 institutional clients across 38 countries, operating out of nine international offices. The firm has been recognised with numerous industry awards for innovation and investment consultancy.
bfinance works for asset owners around the globe on the implementation of investment strategy, from fund manager research and selection to portfolio design and monitoring. The firm works with us to support the strategic development of our tax-advantaged investment offering.

MICAP

Founded in 2013 and specialising in the alternatives market, MICAP provides us with high-quality independent due diligence, research tools and panel support services on the tax-advantaged investment space.

MJ Hudson Allenbridge

Founded in 1984, MJ Hudson Allenbridge’s team has grown to 125 professionals working throughout Europe and advising more than £700 billion of assets.
The firm provides us with initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring of our fund managers and delivers market analysis of the tax-advantaged space.

Ortec Finance

Created in 2007, Ortec Finance is the leading provider of technology and solutions for risk and return management.
The firm now services 500+ clients, across seven global locations, with combined assets in excess of €3 trillion euros. It provides us with advisory and monitoring services for the effective construction of our diverse Portfolio offerings.
Ortec will provide the engine behind a goals-based planning tool currently under development, as well as providing independent consultancy in the construction process for the InRetirement fund range.

Founded in 2000, eVestment offers a range of subscription cloud-based services for institutional investors and consultants.
eVestment, a Nasdaq company, is recognized as a global leader in traditional and hedge fund data, analysis and insight, covering public and private markets.
The firm brings transparency and efficiency to the global institutional market, equipping managers, investors and consultants to make data-driven decisions, deploy their resources more productively and ultimately realize better outcomes. In this capacity eVestment has aided the Investment Management Team in putting good client outcomes at their heart of every investment decision they make.

Inalytics

Founded in 1998, over the past 20 years Inalytics has analysed over $7tn of assets on more than 150 million investment decisions.
Inalytics provides St. James's Place with consulting services ahead of and during fund manager transitions – the process whereby we change fund managers. This ensures that the previous fund manager’s portfolio is traded as efficiently as possible to achieve the new fund manager's portfolio of holdings.
